VSU's Willie Copeland Looks to Pass

While the Noles and Rattlers open up practice this week, it was a busy weekend in Valdosta as the Blazers continue to prepare for the season opener in less than a month.

For the first time on Saturday, the Blazers were no longer split up for practice, it was a single squad session, giving the Blazers the first taste of their '07 team.

It's a situation that senior quarterback Willie Copeland has grown very comfortable with. No longer a running quarterback for Fort Valley State, Copeland prefers the high flying Blazers passing attack.

"It changed a lot, when I was at Fort Valley States, it was more of a running offense, and when I came down here, they molded me more into a passing quarterback, which I like," says Copeland.
