Football Hurricanes Receive Bill of Academic Health

CORAL GABLES, Fla. (AP) _ Miami freshmen Leonard Hankerson and
Adewale Ojomo were cleared Monday by the NCAA Clearinghouse,
meaning all 19 of the Hurricanes' incoming recruits this fall have
qualified academically.
The duo is to begin practice Tuesday, after missing Miami's
first three sessions of fall camp. Hankerson is a wide receiver and
Ojomo is a defensive end.
Another freshman, running back Shawnbrey McNeal, is qualified
but has not yet been medically cleared to practice.
Also Monday, the school announced that senior kicker Francesco
Zampogna was granted a sixth year of eligibility. The little-used
Zampogna was used for some kickoff duties in 2004 and converted two extra points last season against Florida A&M.
