PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Ryan Howard and Jamie Moyer highlighted Philadelphia's 11 to 1 rout of Florida, which leaves the Phillies four games behind the first-place New York Mets in the NL East.
Howard homered twice, drove in three runs and scored three times as the Phillies cruised to their second straight win. Howard and Aaron Rowand hit back-to-back homers in the fourth before Howard added his 32nd homer of the season two innings later.
Moyer delivered an RBI double and allowed a run and five hits in six innings to move to 10-and-8. Moyer blanked the Marlins after Hanley Ramirez homered on the lefty's first pitch of the game.
Abraham Nunez had two ribbies for the winners. Rick VandenHurk was chased in the third, charged with six runs on five hits and five walks. He's 3 and 3.
