NEW YORK (AP) - The New York Mets pulled out a much-needed 4-3 win over Atlanta on Moises Alou's solo homer in the bottom of the 8th.
The Mets trailed 3-1 in the 7th before beating the Braves for the 4th time in 11 games this season. Luis Castillo knotted the score with a two-run single before Alou's 5th homer capped the rally.
Billy Wagner loaded the bases with no outs in the 9th before Jeff Francoeur hit into a force at home and Andruw Jones grounded into a game-ending double play. Wagner's 26th save helped Aaron Heilman improve to 7 and 3.
Rafael Soriano is 2 and 3 after serving up Alou's blast.
Chipper Jones hit a two-run double and Mark Teixeira added a run-scoring single in the Braves' three-run 6th.
The outcome keeps the NL East-leading Mets four games ahead of Philadelphia, with the Braves another half-game back.
