Once again the boys of NASCAR hit the road this weekend, but the road course at the Glen is very different than what we saw in Sonoma. Expect more acceleration, and higher speeds.
"Of the two road courses that we run, Watkins-Glen is the high speed track of the two... you really worry what you're doing with break temps," says the red hot Tony Stewart.
"I think Watkins-Glen is like a Michigan... It's a lot more of a faster road course.... I think it's a little bit faster for those cars," adds Matt Kenseth.
While the cars will be at different speeds, the drivers must have a different mindset this weekend, when they take on a unique road course such as the Glen.
"Watkins-Glen is a lot of fun, it's just a lot different than in Fineon, you have to take a different mindset there," says Carl Edwards.
"I think Watkins-Glen, you might see some different guys up front, then you would in Sonoma," cites Denny Hamlin.
With higher speeds and tighter turns, comes greater action, making the field wide open."
