Tyler Everett will follow the path set by Michael Hyde, from Lincoln High School pitcher to the mound of Florida State.
The choice to pitch at Dick Howser Stadium, provides his parents and friends a chance to follow his career, without racking up an expensive gas bill.
Everett gained the interest of FSU by hitting .359 at the dish, and suffering just one loss on the mound.
A great deal of credit goes to Trojans head baseball coach Joe Vallese, who has 11-players from last year's squad playing college ball.
"It's awesome. I can't express the feeling right now. I don't know what's the words to say, so I'm pretty excited. Very happy to stay in town and go to Florida State which is a dream growing up here," says the newest Seminole.
