Kazmir, Devil Rays Stomp Detroit

DETROIT (AP) - Tampa Bay keeps the Tigers in a tailspin with an 8-1 win in Detroit.

Scott Kazmir pitched six scoreless innings for the Devil Rays, striking out seven and giving up only three hits.

Carl Crawford homered for the Rays. He was three-for-four and also had two doubles.

The defending American League champions have now lost six of their last eight games and are 11-and-17 since the All-Star break.

Jeremy Bonderman lost his fourth straight start. He was tagged for seven runs and 10 hits in six innings. He's given up 23 runs in his last three outings.
