ATHENS, Ga. (AP) - Porsha Phillips, a former prep All-American at Redan High, has transferred from Louisiana State to Georgia, according to Georgia coach Andy Landers.
Phillips (6-2) will be a sophomore when she is eligible in the 2008-09 season. She can practice but can't compete in games next season.
At LSU, Phillips averaged 3.8 points and 2.9 rebounds while playing in all 38 games, including six starts, as a freshman.
