All Seeded Players Advance to Second Round at Tallahassee Tennis Challenger
Delayed Doubles Matches to be Played Today

TALLAHASSEE, FL – April 22, 2010 – Tuesday’s weather delays resulted in a packed schedule of Singles play Wednesday at the USTA Tallahassee Tennis Challenger presented by Comcast. All seeded players held off upsets as the first round came to a close.
No. 1 seeded Rajeev Ram (USA) defeated Tobias Kamke in straight sets 6-4, 6-4, at the tournament’s first evening featured match. Ram will take on USA’s Ryan Sweeting this afternoon. Fourth-seeded and former world No. 15 Robby Ginepri (USA) defeated Australia’s Greg Jones 6-4, 6-4. This evening, Ginepri will face Japan’s Kei Nishikori – who ousted Japan’s Tatsuma Ito 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 in the first match of the tournament’s second round Wednesday.
No. 8 seeded Ryan Sweeting (USA) held off Japan’s Go Soeda 6-1, 6-2, in a first-round match Wednesday morning, and went on to defeat Britain’s Joshua Goodall 6-3, 6-3, in the second round. Sixth-seeded Carsten Ball (AUS) defeated Mexico’s Santiago Gonzalez 4-6, 6-1, 6-4, and tournament veteran Robert Kendrick (USA) fell to Australia’s Nick Lindahl 6-4, 7-6(3).
Tuesday’s remaining Doubles matches will be played today, as men’s singles continues into the second round beginning at Noon. Updated draw and order of play available on the Challenger’s Website and Facebook page. Tournament tickets can be purchased on site at the ticket desk.
