The FAMU Rattlers Hope for Consistency on the Ground

The running attack has always been a strength over at FAMU; however, since Rashard Pompey graduated after the '05 season, consistency has been an issue.

For a while it was Anthony Edwards who led the charge in '06, but injuries took him off his game, and led to a cut in playing time, allowing Demetric Henry an opportunity to lead the attack.

With a mobile quarterback at the helm, some pressure is taken off the running backs, but coach Carter knows that he'll need a balanced attack to take the MEAC.

"We feel good about our backfield and the ability to run the ball inside the tackles or to be able to get the ball to the outside with speed and hopefully one of those runners can break one or two and be able to go the distance during the season," said Rubin Carter.
