Marlins Skid Longest in Five Years

ST. LOUIS (AP) - Albert Pujols homered for the fifth consecutive game to give St. Louis an early lead in their 6-4 win over the sagging Florida Marlins, who've lost eight in a row. Jim Edmonds and Yadier Molina also homered for the Cardinals.

All three homers came off Florida starter Scott Olsen, who is 9 and 11. St. Louis has won three in a row overall and 10 of its last 12 against Florida.

The Marlins' losing streak is their longest since another eight-game skid from July 7-18, 2002.

Miguel Olivo and Jeremy Hermida homered for Florida.
