CINCINNATI (AP) - Edgar Renteria aggravated his right ankle injury on the first pitch he saw during Atlanta's game against Cincinnati Wednesday night.
Braves spokesman Adam Liberman says Renteria will be reevaluated on Thursday after he "tweaked'' his ankle during his first at-bat since coming off the 15-day disabled list before the game. Renteria had missed 17 games since August 3rd with a sprained ankle.
Renteria took a ball from Reds starter Bronson Arroyo, slightly lifting and striding with his left foot before briefly stumbling backward.
