Stricker Grabs The Lead at the Barclays

His 14 under total is one better than second-round leader
K.J. Choi, who birdied his final two holes to salvage a 1-under 70.
Hunter Mahan (MAY'-han) had the best round of the tournament. He
carded nine birdies en route to a tournament record-tying 9-under
62 and is minus-12 with 18 holes to play. Mahan is tied for third
with Rich Beem, who shot a 2-under 69. Beem needs a top-10 finish
to avoid ending his season in these inaugural PGA Tour Playoffs
Rory Sabatini, Woody Austin and Geoff Ogilvy are four shots off
the pace after 54 holes of play in the first of four events that
make up the new FedEx Cup championship.
It's the first time in nine years Stricker has held a 54-hole
lead. He hasn't won a title since 2001.
