This year the all Gulf South leading passer is looking to exceed his accomplishments from last season, a tall order considering he completed 67 percent of his passes for nearly 2,700 yards while racking up 27 touchdowns. According to head coach David Dean, Willie is even better this year then last season.
"Willie has really stepped up and been a leader on this team. I have been very pleased with the way worked in the summer. He looks like his arm is stronger. He has a better knowledge of our game plan, and of our offensive scheme, and I think that's only gonna help him," said Head Coach David Dean.
Copeland's coach and team mates aren't the only ones taking notice of his exceptional talent.
Lindy's preseason predictions have picked the senior Blazer to finish the season as an All-American and as the division two offensive player of the year.
If Willie can build on his streak of at least one touchdown in ten consecutive games, he should be well on his way to that forecast.
