Pena Blasts Fuel Devil Rays Spanking of Baltimore

ST PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) _ The Baltimore Orioles continue to
lose big. Carlos Pena homered twice, including a grand slam, and
drove in a team-record seven runs as the Tampa Bay Devil Rays
hammered the stumbling Orioles 17-2.
Pena hit his fifth career grand slam and second this year.
Delmon Young had a three-run shot during an eight-run fourth. Pena
added his 37th homer of the season in a three-run sixth. The Devil
Rays scored in six of eight innings.
The Orioles have lost 13 of 15, including the 30-3 loss on
August 22nd to Texas. Baltimore has allowed eight or more runs in
10 of its last 15 games. Five times the opponent scored 10 or more
runs.
