The Chaires Gold little league all star team is one step closer to playing in South Williamsport for the Little League World Series.
Chaires Gold all-star Cole Feiss says,
"Some people really don't make it sometimes but it actually feels really good when you really make it."
Chaires gold manager George Feiss adds,
"A lot of these boys have played on different teams throughout the year so it's been a different experience when they have different coaches all year long then a lot of those coaches come together to help out in the all stars."
These nine and ten year olds powered their way through the District twenty tournament, outscoring opponents 66 to 6. Next up is sectionals where they will face the district one winner in Defuniak Springs.
George Feiss adds,
"We're going to an area that's a lot larger than Chaires. Chaires is one of the biggest ball fields in the area with about 475 kids in it but the area we're going to play in it has 700 ish in there group so they have a lot of kids to choose from."
Many of these players were on the younger team last season when Chaires won the district, then lost to Niceville in the sectionals. It's a feeling that they don't want to experience when the sectional tournament begins July 17th.
