MIAMI (AP) Dan Uggla hit the game-winning RBI double in the
bottom of the tenth as the Florida Marlins beat the stumbling New
York Mets 8-7.
Coupled with Philadelphia's win at Washington, the Mets' NL East
lead over the Phillies is down to one and a-half games.

error and tied it on Matt Treanor's RBI groundout.
Marlon Anderson had a three-run triple in the Mets' four-run
Taylor Tankersley pitched the tenth for the win. He's 6-and-1.
Sosa fell to 9-and-8.
The Mets NL East lead was seven games on September 12th, but
they've lost six of their last seven.
