FSU vs Bama Building Suspense

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) Win or lose, number 16 Alabama and
Florida State both stand to make a lot of money playing in
Jacksonville, Florida, next week.
Each university is projected to receive profits of two million
dollars or more under the game contract. It was obtained by The
Huntsville Times through an open records request. A two
million-dollar payday is about what Alabama pockets for a home
game.
The game will be played at Jacksonville Municipal Stadium on
September 29th.
The game was put together when Florida State athletic director
Dave Hart, a former Alabama basketball player, mentioned the idea
to Crimson Tide athletic director Mal Moore. They both worked with
the Gator Bowl Association to put the event together.
The event is almost like an in-season bowl game for the Crimson
Tide. Each team has hotels assigned by the Gator Bowl, each school
received 30,944 tickets and each team will have its own painted end
zone.
