Crawfordville, FL - Crawfordville is where Godby's season ended in 2011. The site that demonized their chances of a deep playoff run. Also the home of their opponent this week.

"Coach Brian Williams, our D-Line coach, wakes up every morning saying he has dreams about Wakulla," said Antonio Wiggins, a senior offensive tackle at Godby. "He said all the games don't really matter until we win this game."

Wakulla hosts Godby this week and yet again the district title is up for grabs. Last season, Wakulla won by three points.

"As we look at what they did, we were so close, we felt like that could've been us," Godby Head Coach Ronnie Cottrell said. "But it doesn't work that way."

But last year won't help Wakulla this time. The War Eagles expect Godby to be their toughest opponent yet.

"We've been hitting, like all week," said Chris Griffin, a senior offensive tackle at Wakulla. "That's all we've been doing. We know that if we can be more physical than we can win."

"I believe turnovers are going to be the key," said Caleb Stephens, a senior quarterback at Wakulla. "I believe, honestly, that our offense has had a lot less turnovers than we had last year, which has helped us maintain a steady scoring drive."

Wakulla's home crowd may be their biggest advantage.

"If we just focus on doing our job, everything in the background just fades away and we should just play football," said Luke Helms, a senior linebacker at Godby.

"Our crowd's fantastic. They're just great," Wakulla Head Coach Scott Klees said. "The atmosphere is great. It'll be an experience on Friday night for everyone."
