Tallahassee, FL - The Godby Cougars are adding another trophy next to their Class 5A state title. The Cougars are the champions of Jimbo Fisher's 7-on-7 passing camp.

Twenty-two teams, including six from the Big Bend, participated at the annual tournament. Wakulla, Chiles, North Florida Christian, FAMU High, Godby and Lincoln (last year's champs) were in attendance.

Players say they get invaluable experience from taking part - win or lose.

"We get to look at good competition for the upcoming season and we get to look at - well, for me I get to look at good corners because I'm a receiver and it shows me what I need to look for in a game," said Jordan Franks, a senior wide receiver from Wakulla. "When we play good teams like this, so we can do better in the season."

"We're a 2A team going against 5A, 6A, 7A, so it gives us a chance to see how good we really are and it pushes us and it makes us better," said Carlton McWhite, a senior athlete from FAMU High.
