FAMU Drs Wins FHSAA Class 2A Girls Championship
Sophomore LaKaris Salter hit a game-winning 3-pointer at the buzzer to lift Tallahassee FAMU to a 55-53 victory over Hollywood Christian in the Florida High School Athletic Association Class 2A girls basketball championship game.

Lakeland, FL (AP) -- Sophomore LaKaris Salter hit a game-winning 3-pointer at the buzzer to lift Tallahassee FAMU to a 55-53 victory over Hollywood Christian in the Florida High School Athletic Association Class 2A girls basketball championship game.
Salter finished Wednesday's game with 25 points and 18 rebounds.
It was a back-and-forth contest throughout, with Hollywood Christian (21-8) taking an early 8-0 lead but FAMU (27-4) holding a 30-24 advantage at the half.
A 3-pointer from Ariah Osceola capped off a 24-8 run that spanned nearly nine minutes and gave Hollywood Christian a 53-48 lead with 2:50 remaining. Salter scored the last five points for FAMU including the game winner.
Shamauria Bridges scored 15 points for Hollywood Christian, and Osceola added 11. Last year the two teams faced in the Class 1A semifinals with Hollywood Christian winning 63-27.
