FAU Holds Football Camp At Chiles HS

Florida Atlantic came to Tallahassee to hold a one day football camp, not only to teach but also to check out the prospects in our area.

"The competitive nature of kids in this state at large and certainly this area in North Florida is one of the reasons we wanted to come here. We currently have players on our team that are having very successful careers so we knew we wanted to come here and have the opportunity to work with these kids," Florida Atlantic Head Football Coach Charlie Partridge said.

Chiles head coach Garrett Jahn was a QB on the first ever FAU team, and was special to have his alma mater in town.

"Being an alumni from Florida Atlantic, and the first quarterback, it was just a neat experience to have those guys here and see it all 12 years later what it's like," Jahn said.

Other schools like East Gadsden and Rickards participated as well and are grateful for the opportunity.

"Our guys learn a lot from the college coaches and get the exposure they need because they can't drive down to a Boca Raton where FAU is at," Rickards Head Coach Quintin Lewis said.
