Florida State went down to the wire with Notre Dame, but Ian Miller's floater with 4 seconds to go gave FSU a 76-74 win.
Whose the new Micahel Snaer. He had a pair of game winners last year, we sat in on one of them. Miller steps in they don't need a three. Count it.
"You just have to be ready for the time, whenver that time comes you just have to be ready and embrace it and stay calm," FSU senior guard Ian Miller said.
That big shot was reminiscent of a game winner a couple of years ago made by Michael Snaer at Duke. The Blue Devils are Saturday's opponent.
"This is like our first real nailbiter game in two years so we are still getting better and have a room to grow and we just have build on this situation we had at the end of the game," Miller said.
The Seminoles have won 8 of 10 with both losses coming against Virginia. Until last season the Seminoles had made four consecutive trips to the "Big Dance" and looking to get back.
"Getting the post touches is important but we've struggled with that all year and thats an area of our game that I feel if we are going to move forward and continuing to be successful we have to do a better job executing," FSU Head Coach Leonard Hamilton said.
Even in wins the Noles can learn.
"I think its a good win now we just watch film see what we have to do to improve to get ready for duke," FSU Sophomore guard Aaron Thomas said.
