Another experience some FSU fans say they'll never forget
"Oh it's awesome it's great for them to be back, welcome back Tally, we're number one," said fan Matt Muller.
"I'm excited to see the Florida State Seminoles team on their bus," said young fan Hank Thornton.
Thousands of them lined up outside Doak Campbell Stadium Tuesday night - all to see the FSU football players return.
Most fans waited more than an hour and then the players arrived.
Jimbo Fisher led the charge out of the bus, then the players, including star QB Jameis Winston with a big smile.
"Jameis was in my theater class last year and he dressed up as a fairy for Mid Summer Night's Dream and he only wore tights and wings and he danced around like a fairy and he was the nicest guy I've ever met in my life," said Kati McFarland, FSU student and football fan.
Short and tall, all types of fans were out to see their championship team come back, braving the cold weather to do so.
"About an hour or two," Thornton said.
"Because in 30 years, I'm going to be able to say that I came out here and welcomed the team from winning the national championship," said Fernanda Pimenta, FSU student and football fan.
"This is the best moment of my life, probably. Aside from last night seeing them win," McFarland said.
