Florida State is coming off a 22-point road loss at Duke, but no time to dwell. The Seminoles face another tough road matchup with NC State.
FSU held Duke to 30% shooting but allowed the Blue Devils to pull down 27 offensive rebounds. Rebounding will be the focus against the Pack.
"I mean when a team shoots a lot of three's, the rebounds are low most of the time, so we need everybody focused on rebounds and boxing out. It's not just big guys, it's like the team rebounding deal. You know so that's what we need," FSU Sophomore Center Boris Bojanovsky said.
" Probably boxing out, that's one of the most important things, especially last year, that killed us on the boards there especially so, this year definitly emphasizing on boxing out," FSU Sophomore guar Montay Brandon said.
FSU is 2.5 games out of first place in the ACC, and only a game separates the Noles and Wolfpack in the league standings.
FSU has won four of the last five overall meetings with NC State and 4 of the last 5 in Raleigh.
NC State has won 2 straight at home and are led by ACC leading score TJ Warren, 22 PPG.
Wolfpack are concerned with FSU's ability to score. Noles are 30th in the nation in field goal percentage.
"For me when I watch Florida State I think defensively they are like they always are but one thing different they score and shoot the ball better than the teams Ive seen so they are a lot more complete maybe than the last two years," NC State Head Coach Mark Gottfried said.
