Moultrie, GA - Florida scored 21unanswered points in the second half to beat Georgia 21-14 in the War of the Border all-star game.
Madison County's Brandon Crawford blocked a punt with less than two minutes to go and Chris O'Hara took it in for the eventual game-winning score. O'Hara is also a Madison County senior.
But Florida struggled early. Georgia took a 7-0 lead in the first quarter after Early County's Jacori Taylor scored from three yards out on the quarterback keeper.
Then with Georgia still holding a seven point lead, Dalton Nichols set up to punt with 30 seconds left in the first half. But Nichols couldn't hold on to the snap, threw it away, and John Gray from Colquitt County took it back for a pick six. Georgia had a 14-0 lead at half.
In the third quarter, Taylor tried to find some running room, but instead Crawford forced a fumble. Gene Noel from Jefferson County scooped it up and ran 70 yards for the touchdown.
On Florida's next possession, they marched down to the Georgia 11 yard line. Treveze Robinson found Janorris Cunningham (both from East Gadsden) in the endzone to tie the game at 14.
Robinson was named the offensive MVP and Crawford was named the defensive MVP for Florida.
Terry Lewis from Bainbridge was named the offensive MVP and Gray was named the defensive MVP for Georgia.
