Athens, GA - The University of Georgia soccer team will resume its spring schedule this weekend, traveling to Knoxville, Tenn., for a doubleheader vs. Tennessee and UNC Greensboro on Sat., March 26 at Regal Soccer Stadium.
Georgia will take on the Lady Volunteers in the first game of the day at 10 a.m., followed by a meeting with UNCG at 3 p.m. The Spartans are coached by former Bulldog assistant coach Steve Nugent, who accepted the position in early February after three seasons in Athens.
The Bulldogs have had three weeks off since their last spring exhibition, a 3-0 win at in-state rival Kennesaw State on March 5. Georgia is 2-0-1 so far in 2011 including a 1-0 decision over SEC rival South Carolina and a scoreless tie with Florida State.
The Bulldogs will quickly turn around after the weekend to welcome the Atlanta Beat of the Women’s Professional Soccer (WPS) league to the UGA Soccer Stadium on Tuesday night at 7 p.m.
