Tallahassee, FL - Tallahassee's World Adult Kickball Association opened their season this past Thursday at Springsax Park. It's their 11th season since 2010.
The league has more people enrolled this year than ever before; more than 300 participants on 16 teams.
The winner of the city championship earns a trip to Las Vegas to play at Nationals.
"Some teams come out looking to dress up, clown around and have a really good time," said Mark Partridge, a WAKA member. "And other ones are all about winning."
"It's a social before it's an athletic," said Nic Ancheta, the coordinator of WAKA. "So that's the way we sell it. It's a social league and then it's an athletic league."
