Levy Park Has Two World Series Champs

Two baseball teams from the same Tallahassee Park are Dizzy Dean World Series Champions.

A youtube video shows the 10 year old team celebrating after the final out was recorded in the championship game.

It marks the second year in a row the 10 year old team has won the Dizzy Dean World Series.

Not to be out done Levy Park 9 and under boys also won the Dizzy Dean World Series.

Both championships were won at the Southaven, Mississippi baseball complex near Memphis.

"Absolutely amazing. It give me chills," said Levy Park President Jamie Harley. "These kids and the 10 year olds, to do it two years in a row, it's just an awesome thing. The complex is amazing, the people are great and the kids walk out there in absolute awe of the facility," she said.

The 9 year old boys were dominant in their undefeated run to the championship.

They outscored World Series tournament opponents 67 to 8.

It includes a 17 to 1 thrashing of an Alabama team in the championship game.
