Rickards alum Mallex Smith leads all minor league baseball players with 65 stolen bases.
"I know as the levels go up, it will be harder to steal bases. I want to have a great quality. I may have gotten thrown out more than I may have liked so I want to improve on the quality of my stolen bases and part of each stolen base so as long as I am learning the game in that aspect then everything else is a bonus," Smith said.
He is coming off a 5-for-5 performance (7/17/14) where he had 3 singles, a double and a homerun. Smith also stole a base and scored 3 times.
