TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (November 14, 2012) - Tallahassee Community College Athletics held its fall signing day ceremony on Wednesday afternoon, the first day of the early signing period, and four student-athletes took center stage, each announcing where he or she will attend school next fall.

The student-athletes recognized on Wednesday included Cherise McEnery, softball; Nick Graganella and Dan VanSickle, baseball; and C.J. Washington, men's basketball.

McEnery, a native of Cloverdale, Calif., signed a letter of intent with Lynn University, an NCAA Division II school located in Boca Raton, Fla., and a member of the Sunshine State Conference. McEnery's mother, who made the trek from the west coast, and uncle, who lives in Niceville, Fla., were among Wednesday's attendees.

As a freshman, McEnery was named Honorable Mention All-Panhandle Conference after batting .283 with 10 home runs and 27 RBI in 43 games.

Graganella, a native of Tallahassee and a former prep standout at North Florida Christian School, signed his letter of intent with Florida State University in front of dozens of family members and friends attending the ceremony at the Bill Hebrock Eagledome.

Graganella is coming off a second-team all-Panhandle Conference season as a freshman when he batted .307 with 21 RBI and 16 stolen bases in 51 games.

VanSickle, a native of Jacksonville, Fla., announced he will return to his hometown and attend the University of North Florida, a NCAA Division I school and member of the Atlantic Sun Conference.

VanSickle, a right-handed pitcher, posted a 5-3 record and 4.50 ERA as a freshman.

Washington, a native of Augusta, Ga., inked with the University of Alabama-Birmingham. Washington's mother traveled to Tallahassee to see her son sign with the NCAA Division I school and member of Conference USA.

Washington's freshman season was interrupted by a mid-season injury that limited him to 17 games, although he still led the Eagles in scoring (12.7 ppg). He's off to a strong start in 2012-13, averaging 14.5 points and 10.0 rebounds.
