October is breast cancer awareness month. My mom has stage 4 breast cancer, my sister has a clean bill of health but two years ago she battled stage 3 breast cancer at the young age of 34.
Together they went through chemotherapy. It's important to have awareness just ask my sister.
"After you sit with your oncologist you talk about the likely-hood of being around in two years or five yers or the likely-hood of you ever seeing your child getting on the schoolbus for the first time they are not talking about breast cancer they are talking about metastatic disease. Forty thousand women will die this year from breast cancer. I truely hope everybody watching this will never have to live through that diagnosis of themselves or their friends or their loved ones," Maralee Mies said.
