TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (March 5, 2013) - Tallahassee Community College completed a five-game sweep of Grand Rapids (Mich.) Community College on Tuesday, defeating the Raiders by the scores of 17-3 and 6-4 at Eagle Field.
In the nightcap, Tallahassee rallied from an early 3-0 deficit to nail down its 12th straight victory and 22nd overall on the season (22-3).
With the game tied at 4-all, the Eagles plated two runs in the bottom of the sixth on an error by Grand Rapids first baseman Nick Jansen.
Victor Cole (4-0), who pitched the final 3.1 innings in relief of starter Robert Garcia, retired the side in the seventh to pick up the win. He and Garcia limited Grand Rapids to only four hits and combined for 11 strikeouts.
Clay Fenwick (2-for-4, R), Trent Higginbothem (2-for-2, 2 RBI) and John Price, Jr. (2-for-3, R) had two hits each in game two.
In the opener, the Eagles' bats were on full display in a 17-3 triumph.

Marion Military (Ala.) Institute will come to Eagle Field for games on Friday (4 p.m.) and Saturday (2 p.m.).
