Tallahassee, Fla. -- Former FSU football player Ira Denson is now facing additional charges in connection with a shooting at the Seminole Ridge Apartments just before Christmas.

Denson was initially charged with stealing and using a credit card at the center of a dispute with teammate Mario Pender.

Denson is now accused of being an accessory after the fact. Arrest reports show he texted with the accused triggerman Tarron Addison about a .357 before the shooting and gave him a ride back to Madison afterward.

A freshman Florida State football player was arrested by LCSO last night for theft.

Ira Lee Denson, Jr. is charged with a third degree felony for purchasing items on a credit card that was not his. The credit card, which was reported stolen from the FSU locker room, was used at a local gas station, Champs, and Foot Locker back in December 2013.

Surveillance video from Champs shows several black males entering the store; two of them were identified as Shaquille Walden and Ira Denson.

They then used the credit card to purchase items there, totaling over $134.00.

Police say Walden is not affiliated with FSU Athletics and didn't have access to the locker room.

Tallahassee, FL - Two FSU football teammates find themselves opposing each other, which ultimately ends with shots being fired. One football player's brother was shot in the head and the other player's friend is now facing charges.

Miranda Haywood was gone on Christmas break back when Timothy Pruitt got shot where she lives in Seminole Ridge Apartments in Tallahassee.

She says, "It was definitely unsettling to hear it because my roommate had to tell me about it. I wasn't even home at the time to actually know what was going on."

Tallahassee Police say Pruitt was shot back on December 22nd, where the bullet entered his left ear and stopped behind his left eye.

Tarron Addison has just been brought from Madison to Tallahassee to face attempted murder charges.

Police say it started with two FSU Football players: Running back Mario Pender and Offensive Lineman Ira Denson.

Fahrone Swabee lives in Seminole Ridge Apartments. He says, "I don't know Florida State as guys that really get into too much trouble around here. I know a good couple of them around here, but, they're good people, they're good neighbors."

Officers say Pender told them that Denson used his debit card. So he went to Denson's apartment and took his shoes as collateral.

Police say Pruitt, who is Pender's brother, ended up arguing with Denson; then Addison started shooting from a PT Cruiser.

Tallahassee resident Zachary Duarte says, "It could've been handled differently. They were grown-ups. They could've handled it much better, seeing how there are children around."

A man who answered the door at Pender's apartment did not want to comment, but, he told WCTV that Timothy Pruitt is recovering from his gunshot wounds and is doing fine.

FSU officials say Denson is currently academically ineligible to play on the football team. No word on Pender's status.

An argument between two FSU football teammates results in shots fired and now an arrest.

Addison is accused of attempted murder for a shooting at the Seminole Ridge apartments on Pullen Road in Tallahassee on December 22, 2013.

Tallahassee Police have declined to comment on Addison's arrest, saying the investigation is still open and ongoing.

Arrest papers say Addison fired multiple shots from the driver's seat of a PT Cruiser in the wake of a dispute between Mario Pender and Ira Denson.

Pender is a running back for FSU and Denson is an offensive lineman.

Pender told police Denson had used his missing debit card so he went to Denson's apartment and took a pair of his shoes as collateral.

According to arrest papers, Denson and his friend, Tarron Addison, later showed up at Pender's apartment to get his shoes back and wound up arguing with Pender's brother outside.

According to arrest papers, Addison started firing from behind the wheel and hit Pender's brother in the head. The bullet went into his ear, arrest papers say, and lodged behind his eye.
