Tallahassee, FL - Fill-in weather woman Lindsey Day has a hobby you probably couldn't guess when she's not on television.
Lindsey trains for fitness and physique competitions. But she doesn't do it alone.
Her coach Erik Johnson has been bodybuilding for the past 15 years. He's set to strut his stuff on the platform in his first bodbybuilding competition next week.
"I've personally been training for the last 15 years," Johnson said. "So I tell people that it's definitely a labor of love and not something that happens overnight."
Johnson said there is more work that goes into the training than just the weights.
"It's a full-time job because not only does it require training 5-7 days a week but you're eating 6-8 times per day, every 2-3 hours," he said.
His main goal is to earn his pro card, something he's dreamed about for years.
"It's my first time on stage," he said. "Believe it or not I'm pretty shy. So, being on stage in board shorts is not something I'm super comfortable or confident about doing. I would love to take it all the way and eventually earn my pro card and perhaps grace the Olympia Stage as a men's physique competitor."
