Posted: 01/20/2008 - BALTIMORE, Md - The Florida A&M Women's Basketball team dropped a 60-48 Mid-Eastern Athletc decision to Morgan State, here Saturday afternoon here at Hill Fieldhouse. FAMU (9-6, 1-3 MEAC) dropped their fifth game in row, while MSU (9-6, 3-1 MEAC) picked up their second straight victory. The Lady Rattlers ended the first half shooting (6-of-20) 30.0 percent, while the Lady Bears shot (12-of-32) 32.7 percent. FAMU trailed MSU 36-25 at the break. For the game, FAMU shot (15-of-50) 30.0 percent, whereas MSU shot (21-of-57) 36.8 percent. The Lady Bears also edged the Lady Rattlers on the boards, 40-39. FAMU had two Lady Rattlers to finish in double figures with Joslyne Jackson leading the way with 13 points, while Q'Vaunda Curry added 11 points. Denise Tate led the Lady Rattlers in rebounding with seven boards. MSU's Jasmine Sellers led all scorers with a game high 17 points, while Corin Adams finished with 11 points. Brittney Griffin led the Lady Bears on the boards with nine rebounds. The Lady Rattlers will conclude their tour of Baltimore on Monday, when they take on Coppin State on Monday, January 21 at 5:30 p.m. in the Coppin Center.
