The Lincoln Trojans are a team that picked up some distinction earlier in the week... They became the first high school football team in the nation to partner up with "Title Sports Drink"... Does that mean a state title is in the green and gold future?
The season is still young, but Trojans head coach Yusuf Shakir is getting a slew of injured starters back on the field. 3 injured playmakers returned to the lineup Friday night for Lincoln's battle against the Rickards Raiders.
Early on, the Raiders gave fans a lot to cheer about after a series of strong runs by Brian Clark resulted in elusive runs and big collisions.. But after a scoreless first quarter, the Trojans jumped on the scoreboard when Keondrick Daniels caught a touchdown pass from sophomore backup quarterback Kendall Randolph.
Lincoln wound up beating Rickards 21-0
