Two Chiles Timberwolves are about to become Patriots... College of Central Florida Patriots to be exact. On Wednesday afternoon, Seniors Sarah Hayes and Haley Holmes took their softball careers to the next level.
"We're just really excited to go down there together, and experience it together, we really like out coach, so we are just looking forward to it." says Sarah Hayes.
"With getting started in the college life playing both softball and ademically, with the whole situation together, it's going to be good for them to have someone there that they are used to playing with for a while." adds College of Central Florida Head Coach Kerri Ryskamp.
And for Chiles Head Coach Adam Rich, watching two of his players fulfill their dreams, makes it all worth it.
"You love the fact that you can work, especially with these two, work
all four years, you see the progress you see them work through it, diving on the dirt, blood on the field, the sweat, and watch it all pay off, see them play at the next level, this is the pinnacle for a coach." says Rich.
Not only is this the next step for Sarah and Haley, but also for the entire Chiles Softball Program.
"I hope the other girls look up to us, because this is a big deal, and I hope that one day they are in the same position we are." adds Haley Holmes.
