Clemons Officially a U.S. Army All-American

Valdosta, GA - Joshua Harvey-Clemons knew this moment was coming. It was building throughout his high school career at Lowndes High School and on Friday afternoon, it became official. He was a U.S. Army All-American.

Harvey-Clemons will be one of 90 high school football players from around the country participating in the prestigious bowl game in San Antonio on January 8th.

"Oh, man. I'm so happy," said Harvey-Clemons, who was on the preseason Nagurski watchlist for linebackers. "As a kid you always dream about this and now it's a dream come true."

Harvey-Clemons is the first Lowndes Viking to be selected to the U.S. Army All-American team.

His stats during his senior season at linebacker can back him up. He had 130 tackles and five interceptions.

Harvey-Clemons won't be the only person from Lowndes headed to the Lone Star State in a month. Vikings Head Coach Randy McPherson was picked to be an assistant coach for the East team. It'll be McPherson's final chance to coach Harvey-Clemons at the high school level.
