Garrett Jahn is about to embark on his first head coaching stint. He hopes he does such a good job at Chiles that they keep him around for a while.
Afterall he feels at home, litterally.
Jahn has always had all eyes on him inside the huddle.
A natural born leader, was an all-state quarterback at Leon, then went to a brand new program.
"My family is here, when I got back I was like heck this is where I want to be," Jahn said.
He will forever be known as the first ever starting quarterback at Florida Atlantic. Hy the time he was done, he lef the Owls to 1-AA playoff victories.
He hope the clippings in the new scrap book will one day read Chiles wins a state title.
"The whole culture around Chiles football and that goes for players, coaches, faculty, community we have to make our expectations winning expectations not winning and you know we won tonight no we expect to win," Jahn said.
And coach has a plan.
"Right now, especially locally the other times are a lot bigger so from day one since I took over as interim we are doing an off-season program that focuses on strength mass and size and I think if I can do that and the plan that I have for our offense and defense we should be able to compete for championships year in and year out," Jahn said.
