The FHSAA Regional Quarterfinals spiked into action Tuesday night throughout the Sunshine State. Several local teams served up Round 1 action in the State Playoffs. 16 local teams earned spots in the Regional Quarterfinals of their respective classifications ranging from Sneads & Blountstown in Class 1A to Lincoln in Class 7A.
Here are Tuesday's results:
Class 7A
Lincoln swept Fleming Island on the road 3-0. Lincoln plays at F.W. Buchholz this Saturday November 8th at 7pm in the Regional Semifinals round.
Class 5A
Wakulla lost in 4 sets, 3-1 to Arnold High out of Panama City, FL. The win is the first ever playoff victory for the P.C. Arnold volleyball program.
Class 5A
Gulf Breeze swept Suwannee-Live Oak in straight sets 3-0.
Class 3A
Maclay swept Christ's Church Academy in straight sets 3-0. Maclay will host Regional Semifinals action Saturday November 8th against Providence High School out of Jacksonville
Class 3A
North Florida Christian lost to Providence High in Jacksonville
Class 2A
FAMU High beat Jacksonville First Coast in 4 sets, 3-1 Tuesday. FAMU High plays the winner of JP2 versus Seacoast Academy.
