One former East Gadsden Jaguar is leaving his Division 1 college football home. Speedy wide receiver Lance Ray has been granted a release from the University of Arkansas football program. The Redshirt Freshman intends to transfer elsewhere. Ray led the Razorbacks in 3 different kick return categories but only caught 1 pass in a stacked receiving core at Arkansas. The Havana native also grew out of favor with Head Coach Bobby Petrino there in Fayetteville, Arkansas after missing the entire spring practice session serving a suspension for a January arrest on marijuana possession. There's no word yet on his new school of choice.
