WCTV has learned that Pelham High School in Pelham, Georgia has hired Frankie Caroll to take over the football program.
If the name sounds familiar, it should. Carroll is the former coach at Madison County High School where he led the Cowboys to a 2007 Class 2A State Championship.
All-in-all, Carroll took Mad. County to 3 State Title Game appearances (2003, 2004, 2007). Carroll and the Cowboys football team made the FHSAA State Playoffs from 2003-2009.
Carroll spent the 2010 season out of high school football after resigning from Madison County in June of 2010.
The news became official after a school board meeting Thursday night in Pelham, GA.
