Godby High School Boys' Track Team Headed to Nationals
Tallahassee, FL -- The dream season for the back-to-back State Track champions keeps getting better.
The Godby High School boys' track team learned today that nine of their fastest and strongest are going to represent the Tallahassee community three time zones away in Eugene, Ore.
The Cougars will join 11 other elite high school teams in an all-expense paid trip from Nike at the University of Oregon campus. Godby will have nine competitors present at Nationals.
The meet is scheduled for June 24 - June 26th and will coincide with the Team USA Track & Field Outdoor Championships at Hayward Field.
The Godby high school track team is also currently trying to raise enough money from the community to send five of their qualifiers to the New Balance Nationals next week in Greensboro, North Carolina.
