Bainbridge, GA -- The message around the Bearcats camp is to finish the game, to avoid what happened last season.
'Well last year was a freaky tank type thing. We lost five games by a combined total of 14 points," says head coach Ed Pilcher.
Quarterback Quincy Fotson adds, "Just still have to finish in the fourth quarter. Just can't lay down in the fourth quarter."
"We've got to finish in the fourth quarter, we've got to finish. If we finish this year we'll be in good shape," adds senior defensive tackle Shammai Wialburn.
With heat indexes over 100 degrees nearly every day of camp so far, it's helping the players get in the right mindset.
"We have hot weather everyday so we have three a days. It just makes us tougher and have our minds right for the games," adds Fortson
While the experience might not be great, the 'Cats are strong out of the backfield, which plays into their offense.
Pilcher adds, "We're running an option, a little split back veer, we've been running it for years and years, and the good thing is we have all of our running backs back that played last year and had significant time. We had three running backs that played last year, they're all back."
