And thats why Jefferson remains a Welfare County . Distracted from what MATTERS and focusing on the sideshow. Games and Spectacles , not the Economy and Jobs

Great , football. Thats nice and dandy , but perhaps the County would do better as a whole , if they 1. Encouraged Business to open here , instead of Veto ing every single one. 2. Bring those Companies here creating Jobs and Revenue , instead of hoping for Grant money , Hired for said positions on premise of Qualification , not whos Brother you are , and finally , in Schools , focused on Academics , not just sports. Ah well , guess some goals are just too big. :)

Dog, please don't try to distract from what this Coach and these young men have been able to accomplish. He has instilled discipline and proud that is "Uncommon".

I AGREE,,, U know ,,I mean ,,,U know ---they also need to learn to speak...school these days puts sports ahead of EDUCATION,,,if you can play ball you will get the grades --- see it all the time ,,give them a grade and test and a 12 grader will grade out in the 9-10 level ..

Wow JD! Nice....Learn to speak? Listen to half the athletes being interviewed in any league. I will admmit, education in Jefferson County has gone down as has the number of students. My senior class 25 years ago had 115 graduates. There are barely 115 in the top TWO grades now. Oh, and my class scored high enough on the HSCT, Governor Bob Graham invited my class to the Governor's mansion. And we had a pretty good football team as well. There are so many students in Jefferson Co. that do not attend Jefferson County High. They go to Tallahassee and go to Fla. High, NFC, Maclay and I know of a few that go to Rickards, Chiles and Lincoln. I give credit to the ones that do stay and are trying to turn it around. But if you can be good in football, why not?
