Madison, FL - Madison County Football Players know what it's like to be under the lights on Friday nights. But on Saturday morning, they were under the limelight.

The Cowboys were mini-celebrities as the town's public library held a fan day.

Players signed autographs and met with fans throughout the community.

"I used to always want to be a Cowboy growing up, seeing all the older guys like Chris Thompson, Jaccobi McDaniel," said Tevin Roundtree, a Senior Fullback. "We used to look up to those guys when we were young. And now we got our chance to shine. It feels good."

So the Cowboys realize how important it is to reach out to their local supporters.

"It means a lot to us to have our fans support us," said Trent Robinson, a Senior Cornerback. "You know, we go through a lot."

"I want these guys here to understand how much the little kids look up to them, " said Head Coach Michael Coe, "and want to be like them and with that comes responsibility."
