Are these the same "disappointed parents" whose son's were "bought by NFC?" Why did the parents of the "tackling dummies" allow their sons to continue being "tackling dummies?" We'll see the resolve of their disappointment when NFC's rings are ordered. All of these kids have worked hard to accomplish this "hollow victory!" Congratulations to NFC players for putting the time in when others wouldn't! Side Note: how are public schools funded? Tax dollars. In theory, private schools shouldn't have a chance.

This is nuts sounds like a bitter parent. I know a lot of kids who would be a tackling dummie for a state champonship ring. Your right this championship game wasnt about your kid or any of the other young kids. This game was about the 19 seniors who have spent the last 4 years working to play in this game and all they deserve is to play 4 quarters in their last high school game. They were once young kids putting in thier time.

If you want a coach that wants nothing but to win then NFC has it. He is focused and drills the boys hard and they have sucess. Boys do go to NFC as a result of sucess and because college recruiters come thru all the time. But if you want a coach with a heart for all the boys, I am not sure if he is it. I have been told several of there young guys have had concusions due to being live tackling dummies for the seniors. You would think that he would at least give them one down in the final game but it's all about the score. Way to go Eagles!

A coach with a heart for all boys? This is the guy who had ever player 9-12th grade on the field in EVERY playoff game and that includes the state championship. And don't throw mud against the wall about concussions happening because kids are tackling dummies, injuries happen in football. And these young guys know they are every bit as important to this championship as those 19 seniors because they are the ones running the scout team and giving the starters a look. They take as much pride in what they do as the kids who start on Friday because they know their time will come.

Better check your info. I know of at least two parents that were very disappointed that they drove to Orlando only too watch their kids ride the bench. They told me they could understand if it was a close game but this wasn't. If I know of two how many more are there?

2 players... Those 2 players will be playing football again next year. 19 seniors, 12-14 of them will never step onto another football field with pads ever again. Who deserved to play more?? Those young kids will get their opportunities and I hope when they are seniors they get the same sendoff coach Craft gave this year's seniors.

To "this is nuts", be careful making such broad statments when you don't know the truth, or at least the whole truth. The coaches at NFCS put the JV players on the field in the 4th quarter in just about every game (including the state title game) to give them some REAL experience. And I am not just talking about a down or two but rather 5 minutes or more of the 4th quarter. I speak as a parent who has witnessed the younger players on the field while senior starters watched and encouraged them. I know for a FACT that DID NOT happen when my son was a freshman or sophmore...

Thanks for proving my point. Enrollment is down so they needed to buy the championship. Hollow victory though. Quite sad for the kids who are lead to believe they actually accomplished something.

Haters, Since you know so much about NFC, why not go over to the School and confirm your information. Most of the starting roster has been at the school since they were freshman and beyond. Most of these starters won a championship 4 years ago as freshman. Regarding schedule, NFC beat Jeff Co. who won the state championship last night and Wakulla who is playing for one next week. We lose kids to public schools all the time, but continue to rebound due to great coaching. As far as scholarships go, you can apply for one with the state, because no scholarship money is given by the school to student to attend for sports or anything else. Why don't you all do us a favor and go back to your mommie's basements or trailers instead of trying to build yourselves up by tearing down a bunch of high school kids who earned themselves a memory they can cherish for life. Go Eagles.....
