Tallahassee, FL -- One of the Big Bend’s all-around good guys earned top honors Thursday. North Florida Christian head coach Robert Craft was part of state championship football teams as a player for the Eagles.
This past year as coach, he set a state championship game record, pulled off NFC's first ever undefeated season, and now has been named Coach of the Year by the Florida Dairy Farmers Association. The annual award is in conjunction with the “Mr. Football” award.
Craft beat out 7 other head coaches from other classifications for the honor. He's the first coach from a big bend school to win the honor in its 20 year history. Mike Coe from Madison County finished 7th in the voting.
