Tallahassee, FL - The North Florida Volleyball Academy Under-16 team will be participating in a national tournament in Atlanta. The all-star squad was ousted as the 28th seed in last year's tournament, but are ranked 16th heading into this year round-robin pool.
"I think we have a chance to win Nationals if we work hard and stay focused," said Jade Strawberry, NFVA's spiker.
Head Coach Rita Crockett is keeping them in line and has put them to the test in practice over the last few weeks.
"You do all the basics. You do everything. You take your time," said Crockett, who's a two-time Olympian and silver medalist. "You work on your basic skills and now its no more thinking, it's time to do."
